Kindred Hopped On Board Safer Gambling Week in October 2022

As for other safer gambling measures worldwide, international gambling operator Kindred committed its support for the UK’s Safer Gambling Week back in October 2022, going so far as to donate its cut of shirt sponsorships for the English soccer clubs Middlesbrough FC and Rangers FC to the initiative for one whole week.

Rangers FC players actually wore shirts fitted with a Zero % Mission logo on the front to raise awareness for Safer Gambling Week. The logo symbolizes Kindred’s promise to reach its goal of 0% of revenues brought in from harmful gambling by the end of 2023.

The week was an important occasion for Kindred to demonstrate its commitment to taking safer gambling seriously, though it was also a chance for Chief Commercial Officer of Middlesbrough FC, Lee Fryett, to also claim the soccer club was pleased to be participating in the initiative:

“We’re delighted to support and facilitate this initiative as part of Safer Gambling Week. Our partnership with Kindred is one that allows the club to continue to invest in all elements of our operations, including the MFC Foundation. In turn, this means we can fully support so many great activities and programs that provide tangible benefits to local communities.”Lee Fryett, Chief Commercial Officer, Middlesbrough FC,Press Release

MSG Threw Its Weight Behind AGA Safer Gambling Campaign in December 2021

Bringing it back stateside, back in December 2021, both Madison Square Garden Sports (MSG Sports) and Madison Square Garden Entertainment (MSG Entertainment) announced their support for the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) reputable ‘Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly’ safer gambling campaign.

The campaign first launched back in 2019 and is anchored on four main tenets of responsible gambling: establishing a budget and keeping to it, ensuring that your betting remains social, knowing the odds at play, and only placing wagers through certified, regulated operators.

Speaking on Madison Square Garden’s comprehensive deal with the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) ‘Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly’ safer gambling campaign was executive vice president of marketing partnerships at MSG Entertainment, Ron Skotarczak, who reiterated the importance of investing in safer gambling measures:

“With the continued growth of legal sports gaming throughout the tri-state area, it’s a priority for MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment to ensure that fans and viewers have access to educational resources on how to wager responsibly. Providing a platform to amplify Have A Game Plan is essential to our strategy and supporting future growth in this industry.”
